My Edward

It's no secret that Cole was in desperate need of a haircut, I mean just look at the recent pics. Justin stumbled across something when having a little fun styling our little man...he had enough hair to do the "Edward Do". If you have seen Twilight, then you could not have missed the hair on Edward! Justin has sent Cole to find me on several occasions with the instructions to say "Hey Mom, I'm Edward!" Well, the Edward hair is no more...but the hilarious memory of it will live on eternally...

Photo Opp!

My Mom came to visit and was instructed by the rest of the fam not to come home with out pictures. So we had a little photo session after church, and they were too cute to just leave in the photo file!

He is so cute to her! I absolutely LOVE watching them together.

it's all GREEK to me

So, for Valentines day a few years ago I created Bora Bora in our living room for Justin. We had so much fun, that I decided to create another dream destination of ours in the living room this year! Thanks to Cole's Mama Mia OBSESSION we have seen plenty of Greece lately and have always wanted to visit, so that was my pick. Thanks go to Becca for providing me with good 'ole elementary school butcher paper for the mural. Then I headed to the dollar store...

These blue plates were perfect! and the napkin rings are dollar store flowers and ribbon.

For dinner we had Greek food...no I did not make it. and dessert was rice pudding and bachlava. (however you spell that!)

I filled old mason jars with tea lights all around the room for a little obionce... and thanks to Wendy we had an awesome CD full of authentic greek music to complete the scene.

Then I dressed the kids and I in the most authentic looking Greek clothing I could find in our closets...we made it work!

I even tried to make my hair festive. I have never attempted a french braid, but this picture kind of shows the braids I did around both sides of my head.

Then I hung a shirt in the entry way for Justin to find and put on when he got home, along with his sandals.

He walked straight into Greece when he got home! Good thing Justin just goes along with his wife's craziness!
It ended up being so fun! Justin is such a trooper he even posed for a blog worthy photo. I love being married to someone who appreciates nerdiness!

Paper...mmm mmm good!

Hmm... Cole reads it...but I think he's a little mixed up, it tastes way better than it looks!

Christmas in March? Just go with it...

This classic picture of Cole would have been enough...but oh no, it got so much better...

Lesson learned: empty boxes don't support HUGE two year olds.

He was just fine twenty seconds after this, but it was too funny to pass up, luckily Justin had the camera ready and caught all the action!

Ali LOVES this doll. The second she saw it she was obsessed and got incredibly excited. I think this picture goes perfectly with the saying "I love you so much, I could just eat you up!"...look at that face!

This is what we gave Justin for Christmas! Merrick White is AMAZING! She came and photographed the kids and then gave me options on poses. After I made my selection, she sketched this INCREDIBLE portrait. This will not be it's permanent home, but for now Justin placed it under the lights in the bookcase in all its glory. If anyone wants this done for them, let me know and I will get you in touch with her! I am sooooo glad I decided to have this done, when you see in up close it is just incredible.

I know Christmas was forever ago, but our computer died and we didn't have the internet for a while...hence the five million posts today!

Long Distance Relationships

Cole's long distance love, Lucy, came for a visit on her way to visit family for Christmas and then again on the way back! It was so fun to see these two together again, as you can see they picked up right where they left off.
